Security

Billings & Edmonds would like you to be confident about ordering online and we have put in place various security procedures. We use secure socket layer (SSL) technology to ensure that your details are safe and information you provide is fully encrypted so that it cannot be read by third parties. Our website is hosted in a secure data centre. Your browser will confirm that you are shopping in a secure environment by showing a locked padlock icon or an image of a key in the bar at the base of your screen and “https://” (HyperText Transfer Protocol *Secure*) is displayed before the URL in the address bar of your browser.

Whilst we cannot ensure or guarantee that loss, misuse or alteration of data will not occur, we use our best efforts to prevent this and our security and privacy policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary.

If a security breach causes an unauthorised access into our system that materially affects you or your contacts in our software, then Billings & Edmonds will notify you as soon as possible and later report the action we took in response.

We take the privacy and security of your payment and personal details very seriously.

  • Our site uses high-level SSL encryption technology, advanced security software for ecommerce transactions.
  • You can tell whether a page is secure as 'https' will replace the 'http' at the front of the www.billingsandedmonds.co.uk in your browser address window. A small locked padlock will also appear in the bottom bar of your browser window.
  • Using an unsecured network in a public place can be risky as unauthorised people may try to intercept anything you are doing online
  • Only connect to secure wireless networks that you trust
  • Our checkout process uses Verified by Visa, Mastercard® SecureCode™. and American Express SafeKey SM. These services enhance your existing card account against unauthorised use when you shop with us.
  • To use these services, you must first register with the bank or other organisation that issued your card.
